You have total control over your site which will become a valuable asset as the blog becomes more successful and you can make money by selling it whenever you want. In fact many people do this as a business – they create successful blogs and then sell then for a lot of money!

Choose The Right Niche

Next, you’ll have to find the right topic or niche to blog about. If it is for an existing business then you are already good to go. But if you are justr starting out then you might be interested in travel photography or surfing.

But does your chosen topic have money-making potential? Perhaps it’d be wiser to write about mortgage lending, stock market issues or job-hunting tips if earning money is your goal. And of course if this is a business venture this will be true!

Whatever topic you pick will have to bring visitors to your site. Without a high enough number of page views, you’ll never be able to attract advertisers to your site. And without advertisers, you won’t make money.

You’ll also have to post regularly if you want your blog to attract a large number of visitors. The best blogs feature daily posts.

If that’s too much of a time commitment to you, at least post two or three times a week. Visitors don’t want to come by your blog and find that the newest post is a month old.

Be Serious For Business Success

It’s not easy making money as a blogger.

But if you treat your blog as a business, you can, over time, earn a steady monthly income from your online ventures.

And if you are blogging to enhance an extsing business the rules are not quite so stringent, but the underlying principles of blogging still need to be adhered to.

Blogging can be fun, but it can also seriously make money for you, whether it is a personal or business blog!
